Life Story

I grew up in the super small town of Flintstone, Georgia (near Chattanooga, Tennessee). I was very fortunate to be raised in a solid Christian home and a solid biblical church. I still remember vividly walking down the aisle at that church at 11 years old and confessing Jesus as Lord and surrendering my life to Him! Being active in the church from birth, I was able to develop a strong foundation for my faith which has carried me through life and has been the cornerstone of my ministry.

Throughout high school, my faith deepened and my calling to ministry began to materialize. During a youth group retreat to Gatlinburg my senior year, I felt the confirmed calling on my life to the ministry. At that point, I didn’t know exactly what it meant or what it would hold, but I knew I had to pursue it. That decision led me to Rome in the Fall of 1997 to attend Shorter College. Four years later, I graduated with a degree in Christian Ministries and my journey of vocational church ministry began.

My wife, Mandy, and I met on a mission trip to New York City, shortly after 9/11 in 2001. We married in June of 2003. We now have 3 amazing kids; Grayson, Sarah Beth, and Lillian and 1 awesome dog, Chief. Our family was involved with several other church plants before landing at LIFE Church in the fall of 2007, and helping launch LIFE in March of 2008.

During my time at LIFE Church, I have worn many different hats and served in many roles of our ministry. Worship has always been a part of my role and now I am finally able to live and serve solely in the sweet spot of worship & tech.

It has been and continues to be my dream to see LIFE Church full of people who are engaged worshipping God in Spirit and in Truth (John 4:24). I want to see LIFE Church full of worshippers not just singers. I desire to see people experience God completely and to help create the experiences and atmospheres at LIFE Church to facilitate and assist these encounters!
