Life Story

I was born and raised here in Rome, GA where my grandmother Lucy would pick me up and take me to Sunday School each week starting when I was 3.  I was loved and taught about Jesus by so many wonderful people at Garden Lakes Baptist Church and by my own family.  I was 9 years old when I asked Jesus to be my Lord and Savior during a revival service.  My family gave me a great foundation to grow in my faith and my church family taught me how to serve others.

I went off to Mercer University and studied to be an engineer.  It was there in Engineering school that I met my husband Jeremy during a season when we were both taking our faith seriously and deciding to actually follow Jesus with our lives.  We were married in 1998 and the Lord blessed us with 3 children (Joel, Isaiah & Lucy).  It was in 2009 that the Lord got a hold of our hearts and not only called us to grow our family by adoption (Nuluu & Fred) in response to the orphan crisis but also to a larger ministry in sharing the Gospel and love of Jesus Christ in Uganda.  Several mission trips later, our lives would never be the same.  We were changed and challenged by the faith of our brothers and sisters abroad and how they walk in out in harsh circumstances.  John 13: 34-35 says, “A new command I give you: Love one another.  As I have loved you, so you must love one another.  By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another.”

We have learned that being obedient to God is not always easy, in fact it is usually hard.  But He is there in the hard and in the midst of it all we find His redemption, miracles and love.  Our family is a living testimony, ever changing, of God’s mercy, redemption and sustaining love.

I now have the privilege of bringing my engineering and business skills to serve the Lord and the body of Christ as an Administrator here at LIFE Church.  My heart longs to see everyone come to know Jesus as Lord and Savior and experience the freedom we have in Christ.

I want to help followers of Jesus Christ, become active disciple makers both here in Rome, Georgia and around the world.
