Life Story

While a student at the University of Georgia at age eighteen, I surrendered my life to Jesus Christ, and it was a 2nd Corinthians 5:17 kind of transformation, “the old was gone, and the new had come!” It was only 6 month later that I began my first children’s ministry work at a summer vacation bible school. I have not stopped since!

Over twenty years of children’s ministry experience have taken me into the classroom of a private non-Christian school in Monroe, Georgia to the rural Andes Mountains, to the urban streets of Scotland and government housing projects in Athens, Georgia to church plants in Flowery Branch and church preschool in Rome, Georgia. Along the way my gracious God has provided so many amazing opportunities and rich relationships. None greater than a mission trip to New York City after 9/11 where I met my husband, and our lives changed forever.

Josh and I married in 2003 both eager and excited to do God’s work together! God blessed us with our first child in 2006, and right before the birth of our second child in 2008, we moved to Rome to be a part of launching LIFE Church. From its inception, I have been a part of the children’s ministry. And it is truly my joy to currently serve as our KidLIFE Director.

We are now a busy-bustling family of six – three kids and an amazing pup! Rome is our home, and we love serving our community. Our family began on the mission field, and our desire is to always be on mission for Jesus Christ. In the midst of soccer matches and volleyball tournaments, ballet recitals and carlines, you can find the Perry fam passionate in the pursuit of loving God and others.

I love to help other families do the same! My heart is for families to experience the fullness of Christ’s love and to daily walk in His grace and goodness, for them to know The Word of God and let it be the foundation in which their home is built on, and to have a heart to raise disciple makers of Jesus Christ. The church + the family are an unstoppable force that can change our city! I believe it and I won’t stop praying and providing opportunities for parents and children alike to know God and to make Him known.
