The Servants Saw the Miracle

This powerful message takes us to the wedding at Cana, where Jesus performed His first miracle by turning water into wine. But the real miracle isn't just about the transformation of water—it's about who gets to witness and participate in God's miraculous work. We discover that while everyone at the wedding enjoyed the finished product, only the servants who carried the water from the well saw the miraculous process unfold before their eyes. This reveals a profound truth about serving in God's kingdom: when we're willing to carry the load, we don't just see miracles happen—we become part of the miraculous process itself. The servants had to fill those massive stone jars, each holding 20 to 30 gallons, requiring tremendous effort and sacrifice. Yet it was precisely in their obedience and willingness to serve that they witnessed water becoming wine. The message challenges us to consider what we're willing to carry for the sake of the gospel. Are we content to simply consume the blessings, or are we ready to be part of the process? Whether it's serving in children's ministry, welcoming people in the parking lot, leading a small group, or simply showing up consistently—every act of service positions us to witness God's transforming power. The beauty is that God doesn't ask everyone to carry the same weight. Some can carry five gallons, others a single gallon, and some just a cup. What matters is that we're willing to carry something. Our level of sacrifice directly correlates to our level of impact. When we serve faithfully, we get front-row seats to watch God transform lives right before our eyes.
